For the first time ever, the Dutch Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (ANVR) will hold its annual congress in Morocco, from November 13 to 16, 2025.
This high-profile event, organized in Rabat in partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (MNTO), will bring together over 220 key decision-makers from the Dutch travel industry โ a strategic opportunity to position Rabat as a benchmark destination for Benelux travelers.
Held under the theme ยซย Connectingย ยป, the ANVR Annual Congress brings together, over three days, leading figures from across the tourism sector: tour operator executives, airlines, financial institutions, insurance companies, media representatives, and academics.

This congress comes at a particularly dynamic time: as of the end of August 2025, tourist arrivals from the Benelux countries have shown strong growth, with Belgian visitors up 11% and Dutch visitors up 14% compared to 2024.
On the sidelines of the congress, Transavia inaugurated this morning, Thursday, November 13, 2025, a new direct flight between Amsterdam and Rabat.
The route, operated twice a week (on Thursdays and Sundays), will strengthen Rabatโs positioning as an ideal destination for short stays and business tourism, while facilitating combined travel itineraries across Moroccoโs northern and central cities โ including Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fez, and Meknes.
Through this initiative, the MNTO reaffirms its role as a driving force in attracting and retaining high-potential European markets.
By bringing the largest professional gathering of the Dutch tourism industry to Rabat, the Office firmly places the Kingdomโs capital on the map of influential international destinations.
